The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has passed a resolution opposing the 2018 Supreme Court verdict that allowed women of menstruating age to enter the Sabarimala Temple. The board plans to file an affidavit with the Supreme Court to uphold existing traditions restricting such entry. TDB president K. Jayakumar emphasized the board's mandate to protect temple customs, while noting that the state government's stance remains unclear. The Supreme Court is reviewing petitions on this issue, with parties asked to submit their positions by mid-March.
