Centre Coordinates Gulf Evacuations, Advises States Against Separate Missions: Maharashtra CM

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the Centre is coordinating the evacuation of residents stranded in Gulf countries amid ongoing conflict, advising states against independent missions to avoid chaos. Air India has begun staggered flights despite some airspace closures. The state government has activated a WhatsApp helpline and engaged with embassies and community groups to assist stranded individuals. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde facilitated two flights bringing back 164 people from the UAE. Efforts are expected to ease the situation within two to three days.
