Officials in Jammu and Kashmir report an increase in the sighting of suspicious balloons and drones near the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border. Recent discoveries include an aeroplane-shaped balloon with Pakistan markings found in Pargwal and a drone in Poonch district. Similar balloons, some bearing the Pakistan flag and PIA markings, have been found in Samba and Baramulla districts. While these objects have not carried explosives, their increased detection has prompted investigations and heightened security vigilance.
