Chinese Communist Party Delegation Meets BJP and RSS Leaders Amid Border Tensions

A delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Vice Minister Sun Haiyan, met senior leaders of India's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi, marking the first formal party-to-party engagement since the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes. The discussions focused on enhancing inter-party communication and dialogue. The CPC delegation also met Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) officials. Opposition parties, including Congress and TMC, criticized the meetings amid ongoing border tensions and China's territorial claims over areas like the Shaksgam Valley, raising concerns about national security and political messaging. BJP defended the meetings as transparent and reflective of improving bilateral ties.
