Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remembered Zia as a committed friend of Pakistan and a leader with a lasting legacy. China's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, conveyed condolences from Chinese leadership, highlighting Zia's role in strengthening China-Bangladesh relations and her embodiment of democratic aspirations. The Communist Party of China affirmed continued friendly relations with Zia's BNP party.
