
Dr Janardan Waghmare, a renowned educationist and former Rajya Sabha member from Maharashtra, passed away at 91 after a brief illness. Known as the architect of the 'Latur Pattern' for academic excellence, he founded Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University and Rajarshi Shahu College. His contributions spanned education, literature, and public service. His last rites were held in Kavtha village, Latur, attended by senior politicians and officials.
