Former Rajasthan minister Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya has quit the BJP and expressed a desire to return to the Congress. Malviya stated he felt suffocated in the BJP and that the ruling party government was not addressing the concerns of the poor, citing issues like pending MNREGA payments and fertilizer shortages for farmers. He met with state Congress leaders, who indicated his potential return would be discussed with the high command. Malviya had joined the BJP in 2024 to contest the Lok Sabha polls but lost the election.
