West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has rejected accusations of appeasement, stating she is secular and participates in all religious events without discrimination. Speaking at a Durga-themed cultural complex foundation ceremony, she questioned why her attendance at Eid programs draws criticism while visits to gurdwaras do not. Banerjee also raised concerns about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, alleging harassment and over 50 deaths within a month.
