
The Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has recommended immediate relief for over 160 families evicted from Kogilu Layout, Yelahanka. Following an inspection and hearings, the SHRC urged the government to provide alternative housing, temporary shelters with food, water, and sanitation, and a mobile health center. The commission emphasized that while development is necessary, it must not violate constitutional rights to life, dignity, and rehabilitation, directing recommendations to the Chief Secretary and GBA Chief Commissioner.
