Indian Leaders and Officials Pay Tribute on 78th Indian Army Day

On the 78th Indian Army Day, leaders including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge paid tribute to the Indian Army's courage, sacrifice, and professionalism. The day commemorates Field Marshal K M Cariappa becoming the first Indian Commander-in-Chief in 1949. Officials highlighted the Army's role in safeguarding borders, internal security, disaster relief, and recent operations like Operation Sindoor. Regional leaders also expressed gratitude, while Israel's ambassador noted ongoing bilateral military cooperation.
