Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized the Election Commission and the Mahayuti alliance after 68 of its candidates were elected unopposed in Maharashtra civic polls. Chaturvedi alleged that voters' rights are being curbed and accused the ruling alliance of using threats or bribes to ensure unopposed victories. She questioned if this undermines the constitution and called it a blow to democracy. The Mahayuti, including BJP and Shiv Sena factions, secured these seats across various municipal corporations.
