SKM Plans Nationwide Protests Against India-US Trade Deal and Government Bills

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a coalition of farmers' unions, resolved at its national council meeting in Kurukshetra to intensify protests against the proposed India-US trade deal and several central government policies. They plan a 'Worker-Farmer Parliament' at Jantar Mantar on March 9, followed by mahapanchayats across India from March 10 to April 13. The SKM demands include halting the trade deal, withdrawing bills like the Seed and Electricity Amendment Bills, legal MSP guarantees, and opposing labour codes. They will also engage with state leaders and coordinate with trade unions for united actions.
