The Belasis (Bellasis) Flyover in South Mumbai, connecting Nagpada and Mumbai Central, has been completed in a record 15 months, ahead of its scheduled timeline. The project involved dismantling a 130-year-old British-era bridge and constructing a modern cable-stayed structure with a 7-meter carriageway and pedestrian footpaths. The flyover spans active railway tracks and awaits a No Objection Certificate from the railway department before opening. It is expected to ease traffic congestion and restore a vital east-west link in the area.
