The centuries-old Sree Poobanam Kuzhi Temple in Kasaragod, Kerala, hosted a community iftar for local Muslims during the Brahmakalashotsavam festival marking the shrine's reconsecration. Around 200 participants broke their Ramadan fast with dates and delicacies in the temple courtyard, symbolizing communal harmony. The iftar was organized by the Poobanam UAE Committee as local Muslims could not attend the temple's annadanam feast due to fasting. Temple officials and attendees highlighted the event's role in fostering inclusion and goodwill.
