Grace Bell, born without a womb due to Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome, gave birth to Hugo Powell in the UK following a rare womb transplant from a deceased donor. The 10-hour surgery took place at The Churchill Hospital in Oxford in June 2024. Hugo, weighing 3.09 kg, was delivered at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in London. Bell described the birth as a "miracle" and expressed gratitude to the donor's family for their gift. This marks the first UK birth from a womb transplant, a procedure with fewer than 70 global births reported.
