
Two India-born scientists, Professor Praveen K Jain and Professor Emeritus Chandrakant Padamshi Shah, have been appointed to the Order of Canada, the country's highest honour. Shah was honored for transforming public health education nationwide, championing indigenous health, and reshaping Canada's citizenship exam. Governor General Mary Simon stated these appointments celebrate individuals whose work impacts communities and inspires progress globally.
