Delhi Metro to Paint 200 Pillars with Public Art to Enhance Urban Spaces

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) plans to transform 200 metro pillars across New Delhi into large-scale public art canvases. This initiative, involving NGOs and art institutions, aims to enhance commuter experience and urban aesthetics while promoting social, civic, and environmental awareness. About 50 pillars have been completed, with work ongoing on the rest. The artworks feature themes inspired by nature, culture, and India's biodiversity, blending artistic diversity with cohesive design along metro corridors.
