Five people have died in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, following the consumption of contaminated drinking water in the Bhagirathpura area. Over 1700 patients have presented with symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea, with 17 remaining in critical condition. Authorities attribute the contamination to a pipeline leak mixing sewer water into the drinking supply. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is visiting the affected area to assess the situation, while health officials are monitoring the outbreak and admitting all symptomatic patients for close observation.
