Thousands of devotees gathered at Sri Mangalanatha Swamy Temple in Thiru Uthirakosamangai for the annual 'Arudra darshan' festival. The unique ceremony involved the removal of sandalwood paste, applied year-round to protect the emerald Nataraja idol, for a special abhishekam. Devotees witnessed the idol in its natural form, a rare sight occurring only once a year, before fresh paste was reapplied.
