Indian Nationals Lead UK Visa Extensions in Study, Skilled Worker, and Graduate Categories

UK Home Office data for the year ending December 2025 shows Indian nationals leading visa extensions across multiple categories, including sponsored study, skilled worker, health and care worker, and Graduate Route visas. Indians received 95,231 sponsored study visas, representing 23% of the total, and topped skilled worker extensions with 90,031 grants. Graduate Route extensions for Indians numbered 90,153, about 42% globally. While sponsored study visas rose 3%, Graduate Route extensions declined 6%, partly due to policy changes restricting dependents. Nigerian and Pakistani nationals also featured prominently in extension tallies.
