A survey by the Mumbai Citizens Forum and TISS revealed low awareness among Mumbaikars regarding the BMC's annual budget and corporator funds, with 72% unaware of the budget size and many unsure how to contact local representatives. The 'Mumbai Speaks' survey, covering all 227 wards with 5,450 respondents, also found that nearly half of those who approached authorities for civic issues reported only partial or no resolution. Top concerns cited by residents include water supply, sanitation, and solid waste management.
