Gurgaon plans to address perennial issues of waterlogging and garbage collection in early 2026. Key initiatives include a new stormwater drainage pipeline to the Badshahpur drain, a door-to-door waste collection network, and pipeline installations on major routes. The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is awaiting state government approval for a proposal to divide the city into clusters for waste collection tenders, which will cover collection, segregation, and transportation of waste. This follows the termination of a previous waste management agreement due to alleged poor performance.
