
Three Amur falcons tagged in Manipur's Tamenglong district in November 2025 are currently wintering in Africa, with satellite data confirming their health and activity. Named Ahu, Alang, and Apapang, the birds reached Somalia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe respectively within nine to ten days. The Wildlife Institute of India and Manipur Forest Department are monitoring their migration to support conservation efforts at key roosting sites.
