Covering 2017 to 2025, the first National Report highlights India's leadership with 12,830 Access and Benefit Sharing approvals and over 3,500 Internationally Recognised Certificates of Compliance, representing 60% of the global total. The framework operates under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, supported by recent regulations and contributes to the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan.
