MP Teen Delivers Premature Baby During Class 10 Board Exam; Assault Probe Underway

A 17-year-old Class 10 student in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district gave birth to a premature baby boy in a school washroom during her mathematics board exam on February 24. The girl, who was 34 weeks pregnant, reportedly did not inform her family due to threats from the alleged assailant. Authorities registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and launched an investigation. Both mother and child were taken to a government health center and are reported stable. School officials received notices for delayed reporting of the incident.
