M3M Foundation Supports Skill Development for Irular Women in Tamil Nadu

Dr. Payal Kanodia, Chairperson of M3M Foundation, visited Irular tribal women in Tamil Nadu's Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu districts on February 23 to support their socio-economic upliftment. The Irular, recognized as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group, face challenges from modernization affecting their traditional livelihoods. The Foundation, in partnership with Makkal Villipunarvu Kalvi Sangam, has trained over 150 women in skills like jute bag making and embroidery, while also providing educational support to local children through evening tuition centers.
