Transgender activist Malem Thongam has filed an FIR against the Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) in Manipur, alleging death threats. Thongam claims CoTU opposed her 'Cycling for Manipur Peace' campaign, which aims to promote unity, and issued a statement warning against her passage through Kangpokpi district. The activist asserts this action violates Article 19 of the Indian Constitution. Her cycling expedition, spanning over 2,300 km from Delhi, concluded its first phase in Imphal.
