Army and Ladakh Administration Sign MoU for Wildlife and Ecology Conservation

The Indian Army's Fire and Fury Corps and the Ladakh administration signed a Memorandum of Understanding on World Wildlife Day to conserve the region's fragile high-altitude ecology and endangered species, including the snow leopard, Himalayan wolf, bharal, ibex, marmot, and black-necked crane. Under the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection framework, the partnership aims to promote sustainable development and establish a joint conservation cell to monitor efforts, balancing environmental protection with national security responsibilities.
