Kerala Train Push Victim Discharged After Intensive Hospital Treatment

Nineteen-year-old Sreekutty, critically injured after being pushed from a moving Kerala Express train near Varkala in November 2025, was discharged from Amrita Hospital in Kochi after three months of intensive treatment. Initially treated at Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, she underwent neuro-rehabilitation and regained abilities to walk, speak, and eat independently. The treatment was provided free by Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The accused, Suresh Kumar, was arrested, and the family plans to seek compensation and government assistance.
