Thousands of devotees visited the Jagannath temple in Puri on New Year's Day to seek blessings. The temple opened early, with a significant number of young devotees present. Over 2,100 police personnel and volunteers were deployed to manage the large crowds and ensure smooth darshan. By 11 am, approximately 1.5 lakh people had entered the temple.
