A long-billed vulture, J132, released in Maharashtra's Pench Tiger Reserve on December 11, has traveled approximately 750 km in 17 days, reaching near Nashik's Anjaneri hills. This bird is part of a conservation program by the state forest department and BNHS, involving 14 captive-bred vultures brought from Haryana. Researchers are monitoring the tagged vultures, noting that long-billed species are exploring wider regions, while white-rumped vultures stay closer to the reserve.
