Maharashtra's Skill Development Department and Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University have launched a 21-day course to train individuals in Vedic rituals and Hindu rites, with participants receiving a certificate. While the university states the course is open to all communities and not directly linked to the 2027 Kumbh Mela, some traditional priests oppose it. They argue that proper learning requires years of study and adherence to caste traditions, questioning the validity of short-term training for conducting religious ceremonies.
