Nearly 200 villagers in Piprauli, Budaun district, Uttar Pradesh, received rabies vaccinations after consuming curd made from the milk of a buffalo that died from rabies symptoms. The buffalo was reportedly bitten by a rabid dog. Health officials administered the vaccinations as a precautionary measure at the Ujhani Community Health Centre, which remained open over the weekend. While villagers experienced panic, no disease has spread, and the health department is monitoring the situation.
