9,111 Women Set Guinness World Record with Mass Lezim Performance in Maharashtra

On International Women's Day 2026, 9,111 women and girls from Dombivli and Kalyan talukas in Maharashtra set a new Guinness World Record for the largest mass Lezim performance. Organized by Dombivlikar Ek Sanskritik Parivar and the Kalyan Taluka Physical Education Committee under BJP leader Ravindra Chavan, the synchronized five-and-a-half-minute performance surpassed the previous record of 7,338 participants from Sangli. Guinness official Swapnil Dangarekar verified the achievement and presented the certificate to Suhasini Ravindra Chavan. The event highlighted cultural heritage and women’s empowerment.
