The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) is proposing to reduce the fee for marriage certificates from Rs 1,100 to Rs 130 for applications submitted within one month of marriage. The proposal, set for discussion, also suggests capping late fees and allowing digital issuance. Additionally, applications will be accepted online, with verification teams visiting homes, and certificates will be available from all 85 ward offices for increased convenience.
