Hyderabad is preparing for its first Hot Air Balloon Festival from January 16 to 18, 2026, with safety measures coordinated by the Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department. Fire teams and quick response units are deployed at key take-off and landing sites, including Parade Ground, Jalamandali Park, and Qutb Shahi Tombs. A recent trial flight from Gandipet helped pilots assess wind patterns and terrain for safe operations. The festival aims to boost tourism by offering unique aerial experiences.
