Bengaluru Police Constable Rescues Man Attempting Suicide on Railway Tracks

On March 15 evening in Bengaluru's Yelahanka area, Head Constable Sridhar Murthy rescued 38-year-old bike taxi rider Vijay Kumar from attempting suicide on railway tracks. Alerted by a resident who noticed Kumar lying on the tracks after consuming alcohol, Murthy navigated heavy traffic to reach him in time. Kumar, facing financial distress from business losses and loan debts, was counseled and later reunited with family. The police highlighted the importance of seeking help in such situations.
