Over 200 housing societies in Greater Noida and Greater Noida West have received notices regarding alleged lapses in sewage treatment plant (STP) operations. Authorities are seeking details on STP capacity, functionality, and the reuse of treated water for non-potable purposes. Societies must respond within a week, or face on-site inspections. Six societies have already been fined a total of ₹27 lakh for non-compliance, highlighting the focus on environmental and groundwater conservation norms in the water-stressed region.
