Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shankabratha Bagchi inspected a demonstration of a remote-controlled lifebuoy at RK Beach, intended to curb drownings. The device is planned for deployment at 16 identified vulnerable points along the coast. This initiative, part of a New Year effort to enhance beach safety, will also include caution boards, public address systems, and increased police presence to prevent unsafe sea entry and ensure rapid rescue response.
