The 64th Kerala School Arts Festival, known as Kalolsavam 2026, is underway in Thrissur from January 14 to 18, featuring nearly 14,000 students competing in 249 events. The festival, described as a celebration of creativity rather than competition, is supported by dedicated teachers and staff. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the event, with Education and Revenue Ministers welcoming participants. Thrissur, the cultural capital, hosts the main venue at Thekkinkadu Maidan, reclaiming the Gold Cup from last year’s festival in Thiruvananthapuram.
