
In 2024-25, public transport buses in Delhi were involved in around 150 road accidents, including 40 fatal crashes, according to city government data. Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses accounted for 97 accidents with 21 fatalities, while cluster buses operated by the Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System had 50 accidents, 40% of which were fatal. Causes cited include traffic violations, lack of dedicated bus lanes, poorly trained drivers, over-speeding, and mechanical failures. Several incidents resulted in injuries and deaths across different city areas.
