Bengaluru's Karnataka State Cabinet has approved the development of a new 153-acre biodiversity park, named Vishwa Guru Basavanna Biodiversity Park, near Yelahanka. This project, with an initial sanction of Rs 50 crore, aims to be the city's third-largest green space and will focus on replacing eucalyptus with indigenous flora. The park is intended to serve North Bengaluru's growing population and address the deficit of green spaces in the region.
