CAQM Reviews Enforcement and Inspection Activities Across NCR from February 4-18

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) held its 126th Enforcement Task Force meeting on February 20 to review inspection and enforcement activities across the National Capital Region from February 4 to 18. Flying squads conducted 318 inspections targeting industrial units, construction and demolition, diesel generator sets, road dust, municipal solid waste, and biomass burning. They reported 131 violations, leading to proposed closures, sealing of DG sets, and show-cause notices. The meeting emphasized road dust mitigation measures and urged strict adherence to dust control in high-traffic areas.
