The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has reimposed Stage III restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) across Delhi-NCR due to rising air pollution and forecasts predicting the Air Quality Index (AQI) will enter the 'severe' category (401-450). Measures include bans on non-essential construction, restrictions on certain vehicles, and reduced office attendance. These actions aim to prevent further deterioration amid unfavorable meteorological conditions like low wind speed and stable atmosphere, which hinder pollutant dispersion. GRAP stages I and II measures remain active alongside the new curbs.
