Transgender men and gender-diverse individuals face significant barriers in accessing healthcare, including judgment, misgendering, and denial of care, even in states with progressive policies like Tamil Nadu. Despite the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019, and established clinics, challenges persist due to limited research, poor understanding of identities, and a one-size-fits-all approach to care. Experiences of trans men and those assigned female at birth reveal distinct hurdles compared to trans women.
