Jalandhar's Doaba Chowk has been renamed Shree Baba Harivallabh Chowk, honoring the 150th Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan. The renaming, unveiled on Sunday, features 15-foot musical instrument installations including a sitar, shehnai, and tablas. Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat stated the chowk's renovation and renaming reflect the country's rich musical heritage. The Rs 15 lakh cost for the musical fixtures was funded by donations from Doaba College and Oxford Hospital.
