Chaura Bazaar is undergoing a significant security upgrade with the installation of 132 CCTV cameras and LED lights, costing approximately Rs 3.86 crore for cameras and Rs 24.69 lakh for lighting. This initiative, part of the Urban Land and Planning Reforms initiative to transform the area into a central business district, aims to curb thefts, manage traffic, and improve law and order. The cameras will be monitored by the Municipal Corporation and accessible to the police, with shopkeepers welcoming the move for enhanced safety and customer confidence.
