Punch, a seven-month-old macaque at Japan's Ichikawa City Zoo, gained international attention after being seen with an IKEA Djungelskog orangutan plush toy, which zoo staff gave him for comfort after rejection by his group. The toy sold out in multiple countries and is being resold online at significantly higher prices. IKEA highlighted the plush as part of a campaign to raise awareness about endangered wild animals, and its Japan president visited the zoo to donate more toys for Punch.
