Residents of Punawale and nearby areas raised concerns about dust pollution caused by rapid construction, debris, and traffic congestion during a Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) meeting and site inspection led by Mayor Ravi Landge. The AQI has reached severe levels in recent years due to dust from ready-mix concrete plants and heavy vehicles. The PCMC has initiated measures like regular water sprinkling, mechanical road sweeping, safety net enforcement at construction sites, and improved traffic management, urging public cooperation for effective pollution control.
