Wild Elephant Enters Ranchi, Safely Guided Back to Forest After Hours

A wild elephant entered Jharkhand's capital Ranchi on February 27, moving through areas like Hawai Nagar and Birsa Chowk, causing panic among residents. Forest and police teams safely guided the animal back to the forest after about five hours without any damage or injuries. Officials noted the elephant may have been disoriented due to an eye injury. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren highlighted concerns over recent man-elephant conflicts, with 27 deaths reported in several districts, urging measures to prevent human casualties.
